Terms of Service
Cuchara, an app by Garaoui LLC · Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Cuchara. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.
1. What Cuchara does
Cuchara reads publicly posted cooking videos and recipe pages, and screenshots or text you share with it, and turns them into structured recipes you can save, edit, plan meals from and build shopping lists with. Recipes are shown in the language you choose, translated automatically.
Recipes are produced automatically and can be wrong. An ingredient may be missed, a quantity misread, a step out of order. Always check a recipe against the original before you cook it, and use your own judgement about cooking times, temperatures and food safety. Automatic translations can also be wrong, so if something looks odd, switch the recipe back to its original language.
Nutrition figures are estimates calculated from ingredient lists. They are not measurements and not dietary advice. Do not rely on them for medical, allergy or health decisions.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country if higher
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself
- You are responsible for what happens under your account
- One account per person; do not share logins
3. Subscriptions and payment
Your first five recipe imports are free. After that, a subscription is needed to import more. Recipes you have already saved stay yours either way.
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly | $5.99 per month |
| Annual | $49.99 per year |
Subscriptions bought inside the app are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. They renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before a renewal date through your App Store or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel them for you.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies. We are not able to issue them, because the payment never reaches us directly.
We may change prices. Existing subscribers are told before a change affects them and can cancel first.
Fair use
Subscriptions described as unlimited are subject to a monthly cap set at a level far above normal use. It exists to stop automated abuse, not to limit real cooking. We will contact you before restricting anything.
4. Recipe content and copyright
Recipes come from content their authors published publicly. In most countries a list of ingredients is not itself protected by copyright, while the creative description around it may be. Cuchara stores the practical parts and always links back to the original.
- Recipes remain the work of the people who created them
- We are not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest or any publisher
- Recipes saved to your library are for your personal use
- Do not republish or sell content you extracted using Cuchara
If you are a creator and want your recipe removed, email [email protected] with the link. We remove it.
5. What you may not do
- Use automated tools to import at scale
- Try to get around import limits, including by making extra accounts
- Break into, disrupt or probe our systems
- Use Cuchara to gather content for a competing product
- Use it for anything illegal where you live
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
6. Availability
We aim to keep Cuchara running but do not guarantee it. Extraction depends on services we do not control, and a platform changing how it works can break imports without warning. Features may change or be withdrawn.
7. Your content
Notes, edits, collections and plans you create are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them back to you. We do not use them for anything else and we do not share them with other users.
8. Liability
Cuchara is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Garaoui LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes arising from an incorrectly extracted recipe. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Ending your use
Delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why unless doing so would be unlawful.
10. Changes to these terms
We will post material changes here and notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Cuchara afterwards means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country where you live.
